Moniker/Nicknames of Rain or Shine and San Miguel Players
Rain or Shine
- Gabe Norwood - "Mr. President" - Former United States President Barrack Obama look-a-like
- Beau Belga - "Extra Rice", "Big BO" - For being a bit overweight in his Rain or Shine with JR Quinahan they are called the Extra Rice INC. Now he is more often called Big BO for "leveling up" his game.
- James Yap - "Big Game James", "Man with a Million Moves", "King James" - When the game is on the line, give the ball to "Big Game James" because he is the "Man with a Million moves" and "King James" will deliver victory.
San Miguel Beermen
- Alex Cagabnot - "Coolwhip", "Mr. Clutch" - Cool in every possession and a clutch scorer in winning time.
- Marcio Lassiter - "Super Marcio" - The moniker is Inspired by rhyming it to the Super Mario video game. When he has his momentum going, it's like a video game, he can't miss.
- Christian Stanhardiger - "Bulldozer"- He bulldozes his way going to the basket. How do we stop a bulldozer?
- Terrence Romeo - "TR7" - T for Terrence R for Romeo and 7 for his Jersey number. Simple, yet it sounds sophisticated like his game style.
- Roland Tubid - "The Saint" - According to Ronald, he was an altar boy in his childhood with a gentle face. The Saint may not look like him when he is inside the court but outside the court, he said he is kind. Click here for the full story.
- Von Pessumal - "Tres-Sumal" - Tres (Three in Spanish) for being Deadshot 3 point shooter.
- Arwind Santos - "Spiderman" - Idiomatically speaking, Arwind's jump is as high as Spiderman and he uses it for blocking and rebounding and he completed his moniker by leaving his "footprint" on the board on his slam dunks.
(But now PBA calls it a technical foul https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EY3r4D9zxLs)
- June Mar Fajardo - "The Kraken" - Do you know the card game Magic the Gathering? Sorry if you don't. But this is the best way to describe June Mar Fajardo. The Kraken is unblockable.
