Should Ginebra Trade Greg Slaughter?

Not just yet. Ginebra should not trade for him for 3  reasons.

1. To win a championship in the PBA, every team should be prepared for the San Miguel Beermen. Stoping Jun Mar Fajardo is almost winning half of the battle and Greg Slaughter has proven that he can stop Jun Mar in one-on-one coverage.

2. Greg is still a low post threat on the offensive. He may not be as dominant as Jun Mar but he is still effective out there.

3. Greg is now training harder than before. Video clips from his training show that he improved his quickness and strength, He is also looking good on the tune-up games.

The rumors of trading him inspired Greg to train harder than before. Greg Slaughter should have thought about getting strong and dominant right from the start when he was drafted by Ginebra, but due to the unfortunate injury, Greg has been up and down on his personal stats.

Should Ginebra trade Greg in the future?

Yes, Ginebra should trade Greg for a new young blood big man before he retires for them to rebuild in the future battles ahead.
But if Ginebra can manage to get a new big man without him getting traded, it would be nice to see Greg retire wearing a Ginerbra Jersey.

But before Ginebra decides to make a move, they should keep in mind that big men are gems in the PBA. Asi Taulava - 46 years old. Rafi Reavis - 42 years old. Sonny Thoss - 37 years old. It looks like age does not matter to the big men in the the league.
