Are The PBA games scripted?

Some speculators are saying and thinking PBA games are fixed and scripted.

Sorry to destroy this myth but the truth is - PBA is one of the longest TV reality show in the Philippines (if not the longest)

Each PBA team all has a strong desire to win the games and championships and "risk their lives" on the floor in the process.

However, there can be a slight exception. When the San Miguel sister teams face each other on the elimination - and let us say San Miguel is on the top of the standing and Magnolia is on the verge of getting eliminated, history has always proven San Miguel will lose and Magnolia will win. 

One more example, when Ginebra is on the top of the standing and SMB is struggling in the eliminations, history has proven over and over again that San Miguel will win (but it should be almost a no baring game for Ginebra for it to happen) in short they are already in a sure playoff spot. It has never happened in the history that an SMC sister team will eliminate the other team except on a DO or DIE game, playoffs or finals - there are no sister teams there already.

To be fair with the MVP teams - TNT, NLEX, and Meralco, history has shown that they will not take the game lightly on the opposing sister team even on a threat of being eliminated.

This is why PBA should always let the sister teams face each other right away early in the season to avoid sister team game biases.

Aside from that, PBA has always been a TV reality show and will always be.
